| 背面描述 | Central device depicts a forward-facing Atlantic puffin rendered in low to moderate relief, showing characteristic detail of the bird's distinctive large ornate beak, eye, and plumage markings. The upper legend LUNDY arcs along the top of the field within the beaded rim, while the denomination legend HALF PUFFIN curves along the lower periphery. The initials JL appear in the field, serving as the designer's or issuer's mark. |

Martin Coles Harman purchased Lundy Island in 1925 and promptly issued bronze Puffins and Half Puffins as the island's currency — a act that landed him in court under the Coinage Act 1870. He was convicted in 1931 and fined £5. This 2011 piece is a modern restrike commemorating that episode, produced long after Harman's death in 1954, with no pretense of circulating tender.
