| 正面描述 | Central field features a traditional mosque lamp suspended within a crescent (Al-Hilal), serving as the emblem of the Dar Al-Hilal publishing house and symbolizing enlightenment and knowledge. The denomination is divided and inscribed alongside the country name 'Arab Republic of Egypt' in Arabic legend. Hegira and Gregorian dates appear in the lower portion of the field. An outer legend records the centenary inscription commemorating the 100th anniversary of Dar Al-Hilal (1892–1992), with the Hijri year 1413 also noted. The design is enclosed within a plain border. |

| 背面描述 | A bold, high-relief facing bust of Abbas Mahmoud Al-Aqqad, the celebrated Egyptian writer and intellectual, dominates the field. He is depicted wearing a traditional tarboush-style cap with a scarf draped around his neck, rendered with strong facial modeling and expressive detail. The portrait fills the majority of the coin's surface, with a decorative dashed inner border encircling the design close to the rim. The field around the bust is smooth and unadorned, allowing the effigy to command full visual prominence. The overall style is consistent with Egyptian commemorative coinage of the late twentieth century. |

Issued as part of Egypt's commemorative bullion series honoring Arab literary figures, this piece marks Abbas Mahmoud Al-Aqqad, one of the most prolific intellectuals of the twentieth-century Arab world — a man largely self-educated who nevertheless produced over 100 books spanning poetry, biography, philosophy, and Quranic criticism. The Egyptian Mint's Dar Al Hilal sub-series drew its name from the Cairo publishing house founded in 1892, tying the coin's issuance to a centenary.
Al-Aqqad died in 1964, making this a posthumous tribute nearly three decades after his death.
