| Obverse description | The coat of arms of French Polynesia occupies the full field, rendered in a stylized Polynesian artistic style. The design features a central pirogue (outrigger canoe) with a decorative patterned hull set against stylized ocean waves in the lower portion. Two tiki figures flank the canoe on either side, with radiating sunburst motifs extending toward the rim.
