| Beschrijving voorzijde | The royal arms of Scotland enclosed within a three-arched tressure, the uppermost arch surmounted by a crown and the two lateral arches each bearing a cross. The shield occupies the central field, rendered in the crude but vigorous style characteristic of late medieval Scottish hammered coinage. A circular legend in uncial Latin characters runs along the coin's periphery, separated from the tressure by a beaded border. |
