Reverse description The arms of Leeds displayed on an oval shield occupying the central field: the upper half charged with an owl perched upon a fess between three mullets, and the lower half bearing a fleece. The date 1791 is split either side of the shield's base, with the digits 17 to the left and 91 to the right. The encircling peripheral legend reads LEEDS HALFPENNY, the entire composition rendered in crisp relief typical of Conder token production.
