| Beschrijving keerzijde | Long cross voided extending to the coin's edge, dividing the field into four quarters, each ornamented with three pellets arranged in a trefoil pattern — a design closely associated with Scottish medieval halfpennies of this period. The mint legend is disposed around the circumference within a beaded inner circle in uncial lettering, identifying Edinburgh as the place of issue. The overall design follows the standard short-cross or long-cross type established for Scottish subsidiary coinage. The flan is irregular and slightly clipped, consistent with the hammered technique. |
