Reverse description Central device comprising the three-feathered badge of the Prince of Wales — three ostrich plumes rising from a coronet — with a ribbon scroll bearing the Welsh motto ICH DIEN (I Serve) issuing from the base of the coronet. The badge is rendered in fine relief with detailed feather texturing. Surrounding the central device, a circular legend divided into two parts records the biographical dates of the Prince: BORN • AUGt. 12. 1762 in the upper arc and APPOINTED • FEB. 1789 • in the lower arc, separated by small floral ornaments. The overall composition is characteristic of the political commemorative Conder tokens of the late 18th century.
