| Beschrijving keerzijde | The central field bears a decorative scrolled cartouche or open book design upon which the merchant's trade goods are inscribed in three lines: MUSLINS, IRISH CLOTH, and HOSE &c. The surrounding peripheral legend, in raised Latin capitals, reads MOORE. N° 116 GREAT PORTLAND STREET, identifying the proprietor and the London address of the establishment. A toothed border encircles the entire design, consistent with the engraving style typical of late 18th-century Conder tokens. |
