A continuous circular legend surrounds the field, reading .LIPMAN LEVY. WELLINGTON. NEW ZEALAND., separated by raised dot stops. The lettering is deeply struck in a plain, utilitarian sans-serif style consistent with mid-Victorian trade token practice. The rim is defined by a fine toothed border. |
