| Reverse description | A large crescent or lune device occupies the centre of an equilateral triangle formed by raised lines, enclosing a small pattée cross within the crescent's concavity. Pellets are scattered in the angles of the triangle and in the surrounding field. The moneyer's legend WA CЄO NLI, reading as Wace of Limerick, is distributed around the periphery within a beaded border, identifying the issuing moneyer and mint in the abbreviated Anglo-Norman fashion typical of this coinage series. |
