Descrizione del rovescio	Central field features the triskelion (triskeles) of the Isle of Man — three armoured legs conjoined at the centre and radiating outward in rotational symmetry — rendered in high relief with detailed articulation of armour plates and spurs. The initials I and D (for Iacobus Darbiensis, i.e. James, Earl of Derby) are placed in the upper left and upper right quadrants respectively, flanking the triskeles, with the denomination 1/2 inscribed at the base of the central hub. Small six-pointed stars appear as separators between the initials and the triskelion arms. The surrounding legend QUOCUNQUE · IECERIS · STABIT (meaning 'Wherever you throw it, it will stand') encircles the design, with bullet-point stops separating the words, all within a dentillated milled border.
