| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse presents the characteristic Short Cross design, here preserved on the lower half of the cut coin, displaying two of the four quadrants of the voided short cross extending to the inner circle, with each quadrant filled with three small pellets arranged in a triangular pattern. The moneyer and mint inscription, of which only a partial legend arc is visible due to the coin having been halved, would originally have read across four quadrants. The cross itself is boldly struck, with the typical flat-topped terminals of the Short Cross type, and the inner circle remains partially visible along the straight cut edge. |
