正面描述	Facing crowned royal effigy of King Henry III rendered in the conventional medieval style, depicting a stylised frontal face with flowing hair curling outward on either side, framed by a simple crown. The portrait is executed in low relief with characteristic Angevin artistic conventions, the facial features rendered schematically with elongated nose and almond-shaped eyes. The surrounding field is occupied by an encircling inscription in uncial Latin characters reading the king's name and title. The flan is irregular and slightly clipped, as is typical of hammered halfpennies of this period.
