| Obverse description | Central design featuring a stylised Tudor rose with five petals radiating symmetrically around the central circular hole, enclosed within a raised inner ring. A royal crown surmounts the rose at the top, serving as the principal decorative motif in lieu of a royal effigy. The legend KING GEORGE THE SIXTH encircles the design along the periphery, with the text reading around the milled border.
