Obverse description A large central circular hole dominates the field, surrounded by a fine toothed border on both the inner and outer rims. A Tudor-style imperial crown is positioned at the top of the coin, immediately above the central hole. The circular legend GEORGE·VI·KING·EMPEROR runs around the periphery in incuse Latin lettering, reading clockwise from the upper right.

Reverse description The reverse features a large central circular hole flanked by toothed inner and outer rims. The denomination HALFPENNY arcs across the upper field in bold incuse lettering, while the four-digit date is divided by the central hole, with '19' to the lower left and the remaining digits to the lower right. The issuer name FIJI appears in the lower field beneath the central hole.
