| Obverse description | A Tudor crown is positioned above the central circular hole, which is surrounded by a raised collar. The denomination legend in English reads ONE HALFPENNY and arcs around the upper portion of the hole, while the Arabic equivalent نُصْف پَنّي appears beneath. The sovereign's title GEORGIVS VI REX ET IND: IMP: is inscribed in Latin along the outer legend, with mint marks flanking the inscriptions. The design is devoid of a royal portrait, relying entirely on symbolic and typographic elements arranged concentrically around the central perforation. |

| Reverse description | The reverse features a large six-pointed star (hexagram) formed by two interlocking equilateral triangles, centrally positioned and incorporating the round central hole within its interior. The territorial legend BRITISH WEST AFRICA arcs along the upper periphery in bold incuse lettering, following the coin's curvature. The date is inscribed at the bottom of the field, flanked on each side by a raised dot serving as a decorative stop. The milled edge is clearly defined, and the overall design is bold and geometric in character. |
