| Obverse description | Crowned and robed effigy of King George V facing left, rendered in moderate relief with fine detail to the imperial crown and ermine-trimmed mantle. The engraver's initials 'B.M.' appear at the truncation, attributing the portrait to Edgar Bertram MacKennal. A circular legend in Latin runs along the periphery, interrupted by the portrait, with beaded border surrounding the entire design. The bust is draped in state robes with decorative collar visible at the chest. |
