The coin exhibits a broad, raised border of fine milling (toothed rim) encircling the design.

背面描述	Seated figure of Hibernia, personification of Ireland, facing left, portrayed as a classically draped female figure resting upon a plinth. Her right hand is raised with fingers extended, and her left arm rests upon an Irish harp positioned to her right. The legend HIBERNIA appears to the left and the date 1723 to the right, separated by a central dot, running peripherally within the toothed milled border. Various die varieties exist with differences in the placement of dots before HIBERNIA and after the date.
