Aanvullende informatie

Jersey's halfpenny had a short and inglorious run. Decimalization came to the island in 1971, and by 1981 the coin was already an anachronism — the UK had been debating eliminating its own halfpenny for years, and Jersey followed suit when the denomination was finally abolished in 1983. The 1981 issue was among the last struck, making it a terminal date for the type rather than a routine production year.
