| Descripción del anverso |
Laureate draped bust of a male figure facing left, rendered in a somewhat crude, folk-art style characteristic of the so-called 'Laughing Head' die variety, named for the distinctive upturned expression of the portrait. The hair is depicted with flowing strands beneath a laurel wreath, with a ribbon tie visible at the nape. A star or pellet ornament appears at the lower left of the bust truncation. The surrounding legend reads AUCTORI CONNEC, separated by pellet stops, within a toothed or spiked border. |

| Descripción del reverso |
A seated female figure, representing Liberty, occupies the central field, facing right. She holds a branch or spray in her left hand and an olive branch or staff in her raised right hand, with a liberty cap or shield resting at her side. The date 1787 appears in the exergue below the figure. The surrounding legend INDE ET LIB, an abbreviation of INDEPENDENTIA ET LIBERTAS (Independence and Liberty), is arranged around the periphery, punctuated by pellet or star stops, within a toothed border consistent with the obverse. |
