Obverse description Frontal crowned royal effigy depicted in high relief, the face rendered in a schematic Romanesque style with strongly stylised facial features including prominent brow, large eyes, and a downturned mouth. The triangular crown surmounting the head displays a central pellet ornament, flanked by elongated lappets descending on either side of the face. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded inner ring, characteristic of Norwegian bracteate coinage of the early twelfth century. No legend is present; the field is plain beyond the portrait.

Reverse description As a bracteate, the reverse presents the incuse mirror image of the obverse design, showing the shadowed impression of the crowned frontal bust transferred through the thin silver flan during the single-die hammering process. The surface is unworked and displays the characteristic concave relief and irregular flan edges typical of this coinage type. No distinct design elements or inscriptions are present on the reverse.
