| Popis líce | Crude frontal bust of a crowned king rendered in the primitive Romanesque style characteristic of early Norwegian coinage. The monarch wears a beaded crown with prominent globules across the diadem, and holds two sceptres or crosses extending diagonally outward from either side of the figure. The facial features are rendered in an archaic, stylised manner with boldly punched globular eyes and a wide mouth. The bust is shown with draped shoulders, filling the octagonal flan. No legend is present, the entire field being dominated by the royal effigy. |
