| Obverse description | Central field dominated by a stylized conch shell (shankha), a sacred Vaishnavite symbol, rendered in relief with characteristic spiral volutes and flanking decorative scrollwork. The conch is surrounded by rows of raised pellets arranged in vertical and diagonal groupings, lending a ceremonial quality to the design. The field exhibits the irregular flan typical of hammered copper coinage of the Travancore kingdom. Malayalam legend reading 'Ara Panam' (Half Panam) encircles the central device. |

| Reverse description | Central device consisting of a boldly incised six-pointed star (Sudarshana Chakra), formed by two interlocking equilateral triangles, occupying the majority of the flan. A stylized floral or pellet motif is visible at the center of the star. Raised pellets are distributed within each of the six triangular points as well as in the surrounding field, forming a decorative border arrangement consistent with Travancore coinage of the period. The irregular hammered flan is characteristic of early nineteenth-century Travancore copper issues. |
