| Obverse description | Central field features a walking elephant depicted in profile facing right, rendered in a bold, slightly crude hammered style typical of late 18th-century Mysore coinage. Above the elephant, a vertical dagger or sword motif rises prominently into the upper field. The design is enclosed within a beaded or dotted border running along the coin's periphery. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, consistent with hand-struck copper coinage of Tipu Sultan's reign. |
