| Obverse description | Struck in the name of the Mughal emperor Muhammad Akbar II, the obverse bears a two-line Persian-script legend occupying the full field, divided horizontally by a raised line. The upper register contains the royal title and the lower register the AH regnal date, all executed in a bold, somewhat crude hammered style typical of Baroda subsidiary coinage of the early nineteenth century. |
