Obverse description A central figure of the deity Vishnu stands in the field, holding a sword in his left hand, flanked by dotted and symbolic devices on either side with a lotus flower below. The figure is enclosed within a double beaded circle. A forked ribbon surrounds the central device, bearing bilingual legends in Tamil and Telugu scripts. The Tamil legend reads 'Arai Boo Varagaana' and the Telugu legend reads 'Ara Pu Varahani', denoting half of a star pagoda. A star device separates the two ribbon branches.
