Reverse description An elaborate floriated cross with lis terminals occupies the centre of the field, with the letter R at its centre. In each of the four angles formed by the cross arms appears a crowned lion passant guardant. The entire central device is enclosed within a tressure of eight arcs adorned with fleurs-de-lis in the spandrels, creating an ornate cusped frame. A Latin psalm legend in Lombardic lettering surrounds the design within a beaded border, with an initial mark of a cross pattee preceding the inscription.
