背面描述 Central field features a multi-line Devanagari legend arranged within a square cartouche with linear borders, recording the ruler's name and the Saka year of issue. Flanking the cartouche on either side are symmetrical floral scroll ornaments that fill the lateral fields. The outer square frame is decorated with floral corner pieces consistent with the obverse design, and the coin periphery is defined by an alternating dentil-and-pellet border.

附加信息

Nripendra Narayan acceded to the Cooch-Behar throne as a minor in 1863, placing the kingdom under a British-supervised regency that would last until 1883. Nazarana rupees — presentation-grade strikes intended as ceremonial gifts rather than circulation currency — were produced at the Cooch-Behar mint specifically for durbars and formal court occasions, never for trade. The half-nazarana denomination is considerably scarcer than the full rupee equivalent; fewer were needed for smaller ritual disbursements, so mintage was limited accordingly.
