Aanvullende informatie

Prithvi Bir Bikram Shah reigned as a minor under regency for most of his time on the throne, and the coins struck in his name reflect the administrative continuity maintained by the Rana prime ministers who held actual power. Jung Bahadur Rana's family had institutionalized that arrangement decades earlier, and by 1910 the Rana oligarchy was firmly directing the treasury. The half mohar denomination served highland trade routes where fractional silver remained the practical medium for small transactions.

KM#649 is among the final issues of his reign — Prithvi Bir Bikram died in 1911 at age 35.
