附加信息

Nepal's fractional silver mohars of this period were struck at Kathmandu under a monarchy increasingly subject to Rana prime ministerial dominance — Prithvi Bir Bikram Shah held the throne from 1881, but effective power rested with the Rana oligarchy throughout his reign. He died in 1911 having never governed in any meaningful sense. These late-reign issues, dated in the Vikram Samvat calendar years corresponding to 1904–1907, are not rare but turn up far less frequently in silver-fresh condition than their relatively modest historical profile might suggest — Kathmandu's humid climate has not been kind to circulated survivors.
