| Reverse description | Central field displays a four-petalled lotus motif, each petal containing a Newar script character or auspicious symbol; at the centre sits a raised circular boss bearing a vertical sword or khadga flanked by pellet groupings. Foliate and floral spray ornaments fill the spaces between the petals, imparting a dense, symmetrical sacred iconography characteristic of Malla-period Nepalese coinage. The design is bounded by a raised inner ring and an outer border of large globular beads matching the obverse. |
