| Obverse lettering | غلام امام علی بن ابیطالب شاه طهماسب ضرب نیمروز ۹۸۳ |
| Reverse description | The reverse field is fully occupied by a multi-line Shi'a kalima legend rendered in bold nasta'liq script, arranged in two horizontal registers divided by a ruled line. The upper register carries the shahada — the declaration of the oneness of God and the prophethood of Muhammad — while the lower register bears the Shi'a addition proclaiming Ali as the wali (regent) of God. A rope-and-bead inner border frames the inscriptions, consistent with the hammered production technique standard for Safavid gold coinage of this period. |
