| Opis awersu | Irregular hammered silver flan displaying a stylized foliate design in the field, consisting of a central spray of leaves and branches rendered in bold relief within a circular border of rope-like or beaded ornamentation. The design is characteristic of the crude hand-struck coinage produced in Sinkiang during the late Qing period, with the vegetal motif filling most of the available field. The surfaces are uneven, reflecting the artisanal hammered technique employed at provincial mints. Arabic legends referring to the silver fineness (obdan gumush, meaning fine silver) are integrated into or around the foliate composition. |
