Obverse description Central field bears two large Chinese characters 五分 (Wu Fen, meaning '5 Fen') arranged vertically within a circular beaded or rope-pattern border. A six-pointed star ornament appears to the left and right of the characters, flanking them symmetrically in the field. The overall design is rendered in a bold, slightly irregular hand-struck style typical of Kashgar mint coinage of the late Qing period.

Reverse description The reverse displays an intricate arabesque pattern filling the entire field, composed of intertwining foliate scrollwork and tendrils arranged in a circular composition. A stylized flower or rosette motif is positioned at the centre-base of the design. The decorative border echoes the interlaced knotwork seen on the obverse, consistent with the Islamic-influenced artistic tradition of Xinjiang coinage. The overall design reflects the cultural synthesis characteristic of late 19th-century Kashgar mint issues.
