| Reverse description | Hammered irregular flan with three scripts arranged across the field: Manchu script (ᡴᠠᠰᡥᡤᠠᡵ, 'Kashgar') to the left, the Chinese characters 伍分 ('Wu Fen', meaning Five Fen) in the centre, and Arabic script (كاشغر, 'Kashgar') to the right. The design reflects the multilingual administrative character of the Kashgar mint under Qing rule in Xinjiang. The characters are struck in a bold, somewhat crude style consistent with provincial hammered coinage of the period. No border or exergue is present. |
