| Beschrijving keerzijde | The Virgin Mary, crowned and nimbed, seated facing, holding the Christ Child on her left arm and a sceptre in her right hand, both figures depicted with haloes in the Baroque devotional tradition. Beneath the group is displayed a large ornate quartered heraldic shield bearing the arms of Bavaria and the Electoral dignity, surmounted by a crown. The reverse legend IN TE SPERANTIBUS CLYPEUS OMNIBUS (A shield for all those who hope in Thee) runs around the periphery within a toothed border. |
