Reverse description The reverse bears a bold, typographic design entirely composed of raised incuse lettering without a pictorial motif. The word KRIEGSMÜNZE (war coin) arcs along the upper portion of the field, while the denomination 1/2 MARK is prominently displayed in large characters at center. Below the denomination, the restrictive validity inscription NUR GÜLTIG IN (valid only in) appears in smaller lettering, with TUTTLINGEN arcing along the lower periphery. Two maltese-style cross ornaments flank the central text on either side. The design is enclosed by a finely toothed inner border consistent with the obverse.
