Obverse description Central quartered shield of the Livonian Order displaying the crosses of the Teutonic Order in the upper quarters and additional heraldic devices in the lower quarters, the arms of the shield connected by projecting crosses to the inner border. The date numerals are positioned in the fields between the shield and the surrounding legend. A circular beaded inner border separates the central device from the peripheral Latin legend, which runs clockwise around the coin.
