Obverse description Half-length armored effigy of King Gustav Vasa facing right, wearing a crown and full plate armor, with a sword raised over his right shoulder. The bust extends partially beyond an inner beaded or linear circle, creating a characteristic bust-breaking-circle composition typical of mid-16th century Swedish coinage. The royal legend is disposed around the effigy in the outer field, rendered in Latin majuscules.

Reverse description A crowned, ornate shield of arms is centered within a beaded inner circle, bearing the Three Crowns of Sweden quartered with the Vasa sheaf device on a small escutcheon at center. The last two digits of the date are placed at either side of the central Vasa escutcheon within the shield. The outer legend, a Scriptural citation in Latin, surrounds the beaded circle in the field.
