Obverse description The obverse is framed at left and right by two medieval brick gate towers rendered in grey and violet, each with an arched doorway and crenellated parapet, enclosing oval cartouches bearing the denomination '1/2 Mark'. Gothic blackletter text at the top carries the issuer's title, below which a redemption notice appears in red cursive script. A lower central oval vignette presents a silhouette panorama of the Glauchau skyline above a textile worker at a loom, referencing the city's weaving heritage, with the municipal coat of arms and a serial number along the bottom margin.

Reverse description The reverse is centred on a bold black silhouette vignette set within a dark rectangular frame, showing two figures in traditional regional costume engaged in animated conversation, with a church steeple and small house visible in the background, evoking a local folk tale or proverb. Denomination numerals '1/2' appear on scrollwork cartouches at upper left and right, while decorative Art Nouveau-style ribbon and animal motifs flank the central panel. A two-line Gothic blackletter inscription runs above and below the vignette, completing the composition.
Reverse lettering Sach war man ocharf daruff bedacht
daß Hebel keinen Unfug macht.
