| Obverse description | The obverse is framed by two stylised crenellated castle towers in black and mauve, each bearing oval cartouches with the denomination '1/2 Mark' at left and right. The upper portion carries the issuer's name in bold Gothic blackletter script, above a block of red-printed Gothic text stating the note's validity conditions and the date 1 June 1921, signed by Der Stadtrat. The lower portion presents a panoramic silhouette vignette of the Glauchau skyline above an oval inset scene of workers at a loom or textile mill, reflecting the town's industrial heritage, with the serial number and city arms at the base. |
