The entire composition is enclosed within a pointed vesica (pointed elliptical) frame typical of Gothic ecclesiastical numismatic art. The abbreviated circumferential legend reads: SAnCT IOh` nES BAPTIS.

附加信息	Lübeck's status as a Free Hanseatic city gave its mint unusual autonomy in the early sixteenth century, and the city exercised that right aggressively. By 1506, the Hanseatic League was in structural decline — competition from rising Atlantic trade routes was already eroding the Baltic commercial dominance that had made Lübeck wealthy — yet the city continued striking its own silver coinage with full civic authority. MB#26 is a scarce reference in the series. Few examples surface in trade.
