| Descripción del anverso |
Central effigy of the Madonna and Child set within a pointed oval (vesica piscis) surrounded by radiating rays of glory. Below the figure, the shield of the city arms of Hamburg is displayed within a portal, accompanied by a small shield bearing the nettleleaf device. | Descripción del reverso |
Three heraldic shields representing the Hanseatic cities of Lübeck, Lüneburg, and Wismar arranged in trefoil formation, joined at their upper corners to form a triangular composition with a small nettleleaf shield at the center. The legend SEMIS MARCE LVBICENSIS is distributed between the lower portions of the shields, with the date 1506 appearing at the conclusion of the legend. The design reflects the close commercial and political alliance among the Hanseatic League member cities, expressed through their combined armorial bearings. |
