Reverse description Crowned oval shield of France, bearing three fleurs-de-lis arranged two above one in the traditional arms of the Kingdom of France, surmounted by an open royal crown with elaborate fleurons and arches. Two crossed sceptres or royal insignia flank the shield at either side. The circular Latin legend CHRS • REGN • VINC • IMP, an abbreviated devotional motto, surrounds the central device, with the mint letter W for Lille appearing at the base of the legend, all enclosed within a toothed border.
