| Obverse description | Laureate and draped juvenile bust of Louis XV facing right, his hair arranged in long flowing curls falling to the shoulder, engraved in the style of Norbert Roettiers. The circular Latin legend reads LVD•XV•D•G•FR•ET•NAV•REX•, distributed around the effigy. The date appears in the lower exergual area beneath the bust truncation. The portrait is rendered in high relief against a smooth field, enclosed by a finely milled border of beads. |
