Beschrijving voorzijde Central field bears the crowned quartered arms of Albert and Isabella within a cartouche, displaying the combined heraldic devices of Austria, Burgundy, and Brabant. The shield is surmounted by an archducal crown rendered in relief. A circular beaded inner border separates the central device from the surrounding legend. The peripheral legend reads ALBERTVS · ET · ELISABET · D : G ·, identifying the joint rulers Albert and Isabella by the grace of God, distributed around the full circumference of the flan. The coin exhibits the characteristic irregular, slightly convex flan typical of hammered copper coinage of the Spanish Netherlands.

Beschrijving keerzijde Central field displays two crossed fire steels (fusils) of the Order of the Golden Fleece arranged in saltire, surmounted by an archducal crown, with a date divided on either side — here illustrated as 1616 — and a small mintmaster's mark below. The crossed fire steels serve as the principal heraldic device of the sovereign dukes. A beaded inner circle contains the central design, while the outer circular legend ARCHID · AVST · DVC · BVRG · ET · B · Z runs around the full periphery, proclaiming the archducal and ducal titles of Austria, Burgundy, Brabant, and so forth. The design is executed in a bold, somewhat crude relief characteristic of hammered small copper coinage of the Southern Netherlands.
