Reverse description A large royal crown, surmounted by a cross, occupies the centre of the field, rendered in elaborate Baroque detail with arched bands, fleurs-de-lis, and a jewelled circlet base. Beneath the crown, the mint mark G flanks the base. Across the crown in a diagonal band, the motto DOMINVS PROVIDEBIT (the Lord will provide) is inscribed in a ribbon-like scroll. The outer legend, running continuously around the coin and separated from the inner field by a rope-twist circle, reads VANDALORVM·GOTHORVM·QVE·REX·1667, with the date incorporated within the legend. A toothed border encircles the entire design.
