Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Frederik III facing right, wearing armour with ornate pauldron and a flowing cravat, his long curling hair falling to the shoulder. The portrait is rendered in high relief in the Baroque style, with fine detailing on the lace collar and cuirass. A toothed (milled) border frames the periphery. The encircling legend reads FRIDERICVS·III·D·G·DAN·NORV, interrupted at the base by the truncation of the bust.
