Reverse description A large high crown occupies the center of the field, positioned above the royal monogram R.F.P. (Regna Firmat Pietas — Piety Strengthens the Realms). The date is placed above the crown with its numerals divided by the points of the crown itself. The entire central design is enclosed within a pearled inner circle, with the Latin legend running around the outer rim and the mintmark appearing at the commencement of the legend. Varieties exist with differing crown types and spelling variants of the legend.
