Beschrijving voorzijde Two oval heraldic shields displayed side by side: the Imperial eagle to the left and the Silesian eagle to the right. Below the shields, the denomination appears within a frame, while a crown divides the date in the field above. The composition is arranged in a compact, symmetrical layout typical of late 17th-century Silesian billon coinage.

Aanvullende informatie

Oppeln (Opole) served as one of several Silesian mints operating under Habsburg authority during Leopold I's long reign, a period when small billon fractions were struck in enormous quantities to address chronic shortages of petty coinage across the hereditary lands. The Herinek reference range spanning 1917–1929 reflects multiple die marriages across the production run, not a continuous series from a single working pair.

Silesia's mint operations during this period were frequently disrupted by the financial strain of Leopold's wars against the Ottomans, particularly the Great Turkish War beginning in 1683.
