Obverse description Central field displays a framed bipartite (two-fold) coat of arms, with the date divided to either side of the shield. The denomination '1/2 K' appears separated above the arms, flanked by the split date numerals '16' and '23'. The design is characteristic of early seventeenth-century hammered small coinage from the Bishopric of Augsburg under Bishop Heinrich V von Knöringen. The overall strike is typical of emergency or low-denomination currency of the period, with a plain, unadorned border.
